Making history with modern technology

We know about how ancient man used to carve symbols and shapes into stones. This was his way of recording his present to create history which would be passed on to future generations.

Since we are dealing with wood here the first thing that came into my mind was the traditional Indian carving work done on wood to make objects ranging from small a jewellery box to huge temples.

Over the years the way of recording history has changed. I want to use the old carving method of recording history to record the present which is the various electronic gadgets an its accessories.

So my idea is to create a desk+docking station having the ancient carving art but which will accommodate the modern devices.

The main elements of this desk would be the various electronic devices like the wires, chargers, mouse, hard drive, usb drives, laptops, phones, tablets etc.

Also symbolic elements like the icons/ graphics from the devices can be included.

Today this docking station will be an art piece which will help make the wires and other devices look beautiful.

In a few years when the technology hardware changes, this will have old technology imprinted in it as if it is history!!

Also this desk could be made in such a way that it could be upgraded as and when your device gets upgraded.
